PhD/DLA students’ wellbeing and PhD-related experiences in Hungary

Hungarian doctoral student survey

Dear Doctoral Student,

You are taking part in a scientific research study aimed at understanding the experiences and wellbeing of doctoral students in Hungary. The study is conducted by the “PhD success and wellbeing" research group at Semmelweis University, in collaboration with the Hungarian Doctoral Council and the Association of Hungarian PhD and DLA Candidates (DOSZ).

The purpose of the study is to assess the mental well-being of doctoral students in Hungary and the factors influencing it, using a comprehensive survey. We are expecting doctoral students who currently hold active or inactive student status to participate in the study. You can find more information about the study by clicking HERE

The questionnaire contains 7 question groups. There are no right or wrong answers; for each question, please select the option that best describes you.
Participation in the study is entirely voluntary. You may discontinue participation at any time without giving a reason, and you are free to choose which questions you wish to answer and which ones you prefer to skip. The study is anonymous: data will be collected, analyzed, and published in a way that does not allow the identification of individual respondents.

Completing the questionnaire takes approximately 15–20 minutes.

Although participation does not involve direct personal benefits, your contribution will enable the Hungarian and international scientific community — as well as institutional leaders and policymakers — to gain insight into the so far unexplored well-being, quality of life, and experiences of doctoral students in Hungary.

The data collection is supervised by Beáta Dávid PhD habil.
